in Surry County through public advocacy.

You may have been searching for teen drug abuse in schools, teen substance abuse signs, teen marijuana use symptoms or the effects of teen drug use in communities…The important thing is you found us. Like so many other parents and educators in Surry County you are concerned about preventing youth substance use. We are here to help connect you to resources and invite you to join us in our efforts to reduce youth substance use in Surry county.

Social Hosting is still popular within some families based on the belief that it’s safer for teens to drink alcohol in a “controlled environment.” Take a minute to watch this video and learn what the research tells us. It’s always good to understand the facts before you make the choice to let minors consume alcohol. Make an informed decision.

  • Monthly All-Stars Meeting

    March 13th

    Location: The Children’s Center

    520 N. Main Street, Dobson

    Dinner Provided

    Our Monthly All-Stars Meetings happen the second Tuesday of every month, except July and December. In this meeting we will discuss the work we’ve done and plan for future work in the community. Please join us if you can and help us make Surry county a better community.

  • Monthly Youth Group Meeting

    March 11th

    5 - 6:15pm

    Location: TBD

    Our youth group meets the second Thursday of every month, except July and December. We are always looking for new perspectives and innovative young people interested in coming together with other Surry County youth to discuss the substance abuse issues facing our community and come up with youth lead solutions.
